One thing that has been on my heart lately is what can be described as the Biblical world view.  Well, what is the Biblical world view?  It is looking at the world and all that goes on from the Christian perspective.  It’s knowing that God is still in control no matter what goes on.  It’s knowing that regardless of what comes our way in this life we will one day go home to heaven to be with Jesus.  It’s knowing the truth of such verses as 2 Tim. 3:12, “…all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

The Biblical world view shapes how we look at those around us.  Some Christians think that good people go to heaven.  That is not a Biblical world view.  Only saved people go to heaven.  There may be people you surround yourself with that aren’t bad people, but they don’t know the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore they are not going to heaven.  You rub shoulders with people every day, you laugh with them, you have fun with them, you may even care deeply for them, but they are without Jesus and are going to hell.  Now, having said that, do you suppose that God put these people in your life for a reason?  I like laughing and having fun with my acquaintances.  But, above all, I want to see these acquaintances come to know Jesus and be with Him and me in heaven forever.

One thing that I think is the saddest thing in the world is for a Christian not to love their friends enough to share Jesus with them.  It happens every day.  Years ago I worked at PPG Industries.  I usually got to work with someone for eight straight hours; before the shift was over I would share Jesus with them.  It didn’t matter what they believed or didn’t believe they would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.  I know that some of these people came to know Jesus.  Some who were already Christians got serious about serving Jesus in a local church.  You can make an impact for Jesus with those you know, so do it!
